The Mississippi Wildlife Federation (“MWF”) will host the 37th Annual Mississippi Wildlife Extravaganza, Mississippi’s oldest and most recognized Outdoor Show July 26th – 28th, 2024, at the Clyde Muse Center in Pearl, MS. Presented by Small Town Hunting Properties & Real Estate, this year’s event will host even more exhibitors, attendees, children’s activities, and entertainment.
Extravaganza Director, Ashlee Smith, says, “For those who have attended in the past, this show will remind them of the good old days. We cannot wait to share with Mississippians the biggest and best Wildlife Extravaganza yet. We loved working with the amazing team at the Clyde Muse Center in Pearl the past two years and have been blown away by having the entire city of Pearl’s support, including that of Mayor Jake Windham and his staff, in supporting the Ganza. We’re confident that we have the best vendors, entertainers, demonstrations and exhibits in the hunting and fishing industry to help Mississippians kick off this year’s hunting season in a wonderful family-friendly and safe environment. Please do NOT be confused with the Mississippi Ag and Outdoor Expo, which is NOT a hunting or fishing show, taking place in downtown Jackson at the Trade Mart, the same weekend. It does not support a non-profit, or any mission designed to get our kids and the community into the outdoors. There is and always has been only one true Wildlife Extravaganza!”
As always, this year’s Extravaganza will play host to many historic crowd-favorites such as the ever-popular Magnolia Records and Big Buck contest, Jason Reynolds’ famous High-flying Retrievers, National Hydro-Flight champion Ben Merrel taking to the sky in his Hydro Jet, a 3D Archery Tournament, the NWTF state turkey calling championship, Kid’s Handgrabbin’ Catfish tanks, youth BB Gun and Archery Ranges, kayaking fishing demonstrations, hunting dog demonstrations on the lake, outdoor hunting and fishing seminars, and much more. MWF is bringing back some of the biggest names in the hunting, fishing and outdoors entertainment world, like stars from the History Channel’s “Swamp People”, Heather Smith from the Discovery Channel’s “Naked and Afraid”, Bubba Buck, HALO Hunting, Eddie from the Holler, Real South Hunting, Small Town Hunting TV, Stalekracker, and more. Once again, we will be drawing for a free gun every hour. You must be present to win!
We are thrilled to announce that on Friday, July 28th, the city of Pearl is sponsoring a free After Party outside on the Muse Center back lawn with a special performance on the lake by the National Hydro-Flight champion, Ben Merrell, taking to the sky in his Hydro Jet after dark.
MWF’s Magnolia Records program is the state’s ONLY official deer records program, and a buck taken from any year may be entered for scoring. However, the buck must have been taken last season to be entered into the Big Buck contest to win cash, gift cards, and other prizes. All entrants into Magnolia Records and the Big Buck contest will receive free entry to the Ganza. Details about scoring categories, requirements and entry times can be found here.
You’ll want to follow MWF’s new Extravaganza Facebook Page as we will be announcing all of our celebrity guests and special attractions between now and showtime.
MWF is once again working with established MS show promoters Dan Robinson and Rob Neblett of Mississippi Outdoor Expo, LLC. MWF and MS Outdoor Expo, LLC will be working around the clock to ensure this year’s Extravaganza is a massive success for the attendees and its exhibitors and sponsors.
