CONVID-19 Update
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mississippi Wildlife Federation is deeply saddened
to announce the postponement of its 60 th Annual Conservation Achievement Awards and
Annual Meeting in Jackson, Mississippi, which was to be held on March 19th. “The health
and safety of the award recipients, our guests and members is our number one priority.
Following a thorough assessment of the potential risk to our attendees, we feel this is the
only responsible decision at this time. Our hearts and prayers go out to those currently
affected by the coronavirus across the country.” says Ashlee Ellis Smith, Chief Executive
Officer of the Federation.
The Federation is committed to the celebration of our conservation award winners and
will put out an update on the awards event, as well as the Annual Meeting, as the
situation with COVID-19 unfolds.
The Conservation Achievement Awards are presented to individuals and organizations that
have made a significant and outstanding contribution to conservation in Mississippi over the
past year.
